Study of modern trends and developments in a ring spinning mill in blow-room

Blow-room:
The blow-room contributes only about 5–10% to production costs in the ring spinning mill. But a present’s modern trend is to reduce about 50% (40–70%) of the incoming impurities. So technological improvements are remarkable in the process.

In blow-room cotton bales are opened and fed into it. It opens lumps of cotton, removes dirt and foreign matter. Roll of cotton fibre mass into sheets for feeding into cards. But now days in advanced machines puch-as fibres are feed into cards directly through the chutes.

Basic operation in the blow-room:
1. opening
2. cleaning
3. mixing/blending
4. micro dust removal
5. uniform feed to the carding machine

Scotchers:
Modern scotchers have automatic doffing of lap. It is done by a limit sarteh. But most modern mills uses chute feed to smoottly rinning the production.

Opening and cleaning principles:
1. opening by opposig spike
2. pneumatic action done
3. mostly beating action

Modern trends in Blow-room:

1. fibre protection device: If any fibre haxard then this device automatically give signal through a electrical device than the machine shut-down instantly.
2. Heavy dust particle: During processing from raw cotton if any heavy particle except cotton then it separates it quantity
3. Metal detector.
4. Contamination sorter.
